8BitDo has unveiled a new version of its Ultimate C wired Xbox controller, which is 20% smaller and 10% lighter. Called the Ultimate Mini, the new product retains all the core features of the full-size controllers, including triggers and buttons.
The new product weighs only 189.6 grams, which is significantly lighter than the standard Xbox Series S/X controllers (287 grams) and more than twice as light as The Duke (550 grams). Thanks to its compact size and low weight, the Ultimate Mini is suitable for both children and adult gamers with small hands who find standard controllers cumbersome.

The controller has the usual layout of elements, but the location of buttons and joysticks has become more compact. The upper buttons are slightly reduced, which improves the ease of use for those who prefer small devices. Visually, the gamepad stands out with a translucent case in white, pink or green.

The controller is compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, as well as Windows 10 or 11 PCs. The device only connects via a wire, which also helps reduce its weight due to the lack of batteries. The controller is already available for purchase in the US via Amazon and the 8BitDo online store for $35.
