Necrophosis: Full Consciousness, an expanded edition of the horror game notable for its Lovecraftian art, has been announced. It will include the base game and the new expansion, Subconsciousness, which features new monsters and locations.

The developers themselves describe Necrophosis as a first-person horror adventure that immerses players in a “nightmarish world teeming with grotesque forms and ominous visual effects.” Players assume the role of Consciousness, an entity awakened billions of years later in a world where all life has been consumed by a mysterious curse.

The horror gameplay of Dragonis Ares combines solving unusual puzzles, exploring gloomy locations inhabited by otherworldly creatures, and gathering information about the true reasons for the protagonist’s awakening.

Necrophosis originally launched on PC in late April 2025, receiving a rapturous reception from Steam users. The new edition will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X later this year. Owners of the base game will also be able to purchase the aforementioned DLC separately.
