Lenovo Legion Go 2 Price Increased By Up To 50%

Even as the Japanese Nintendo Switch 2 gaming console was preparing to launch, it became clear that its retail price in the US would be impacted by Donald Trump’s initial proposed higher tariffs. Subsequently, rising memory costs drove up the price of gaming consoles, and the Lenovo Legion Go 2 was no exception.

At launch in October 2025, the entry-level model with AMD Ryzen Z2 and 16 GB of RAM cost $1,099, while the higher-end version with Ryzen Z2 Extreme and 32 GB of RAM cost $1,350. Prices have now risen to $1,500 and $1,999, respectively, representing increases of 36% and 48%.

Lenovo has not officially commented on the sharp price increase, and both models are still marked as “out of stock” in stores. Buyers are forced to look for alternatives: the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X is available for $999, and the 1 TB Steam Deck OLED is selling for $649, although it is completely sold out on Valve’s website.

It’s entirely possible that such a significant price increase for the Legion Go 2 is related to the RAM crisis raging across the industry and disrupting the plans of many companies. For example, Valve has already had to postpone the launch of Steam Machine and revise the price of upcoming hardware.
