Half-Life fans are preparing a surprise for the game's 20th anniversary - the release of Half-Life 2 Beta: Mega Build, which is scheduled for November 16, 2024. This version is based on leaks from 2003, when German hacker Axel Gembe stole a beta version of the game from Valve. The new build will offer over 1,000 restored textures, character models (including those from 2000-2002) and items, content from recent leaks, including cut mechanics, locations and enemies. In 2017, Giant Sparrow released the emotional What Remains of Edith Finch, which was very popular with players, and the studio was expected to release its next game. And now, finally, it has shown concept art of the future project. Its main focus will be “exploring the wonders and horrors of biology.” Players will play as a field biologist studying urban wildlife, both mundane and fantastical.  Sources of inspiration include Ico, Windosill, Spirited Away, David Attenborough documentaries, and the spirit of animation pioneers like Winsor McCay and Walt Disney, who used cutting-edge technology for their time to create work that felt eerily alive. Interestingly, the project has become noticeably darker over time, just like What Remains of Edith Finch did in its day.
