“The Last of Us 3” Not to Happen

Over the past few years, fans have been talking online about a possible sequel to The Last of Us. The second part was met with mixed reviews by players, but fans of the series hoped that the developers would be able to fix all the mistakes of the sequel in the third part, and also continue to develop the universe. Game director Neil Druckmann commented on the fan discussions, saying that The Last of Us Part III should not be expected. Naughty Dog is currently busy with the PS5 action game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet announced at The Game Awards 2024, so the studio won't have time for The Last of Us Part III in the coming years. In 2023, Naughty Dog announced the cancellation of the multiplayer video game based on The Last of Us franchise.

Monster Hunter Wilds Tops Steam’s Weekly Paid Games Chart

Valve has released its weekly video game revenue chart for Steam for the week of February 18–25, 2025. Sid Meierʼs Civilization VII took the crown last time around, but now it sits at the bottom of the top five. The new king is Monster Hunter Wilds, which has climbed to the top spot among paid titles ahead of its February 28 release. The achieved result became a record for Capcom games on Steam and more than doubled the best figures for previous parts of the series on the platform - Monster Hunter: World (334,684 players) and Monster Hunter Rise (231,360 people). The mysterious game Terminator 2D: No Fate, which appeared on the Australian regulator's website in December, has finally been officially unveiled. The announcement was accompanied by a gameplay trailer. Terminator 2D: No Fate is a joint project between Reef Entertainment (Terminator: Resistance) and British studio Bitmap Bureau (Final Vendetta, Xeno Crisis).
