The MSI Claw A8 portable gaming console has gone on sale in the US and Europe. In the US, the model, designated BZ2EM-070US, is available with 24 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM and a 1 TB SSD.
The MSI Claw A8 features an 8-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, 500 nits of brightness, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and support for dynamic refresh rate (VRR). The console is equipped with an 80 Wh battery with 65 W charging support. The AMD-based MSI Claw A8 is equipped with two USB4 ports (compatible with Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, DisplayPort, and Power Delivery 3.0 charging). The device supports Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 wireless connectivity.
MSI Claw consoles are expected to be updated to the new Panther Lake platform. Intel previously announced that it is developing a special series of Core G3 processors for portable gaming devices, featuring increased energy efficiency. It’s possible that the Core G3 processors will be unveiled sometime around Computex 2026, meaning during the first half of this year.
