Nintendo Confirms Record-Breaking Switch 2 Reveal Length

Nintendo has shared new details about the Nintendo Direct presentation, which will feature the Switch 2 console in full, and announced two more streams showcasing games for it.

As it became known, the duration of the upcoming Nintendo Direct broadcast with details of Switch 2 will be about 60 minutes, which is a record in the history of such informational broadcasts by Nintendo.

Soon after, on April 3 and 4, there will be two Nintendo Treehouse presentations, featuring hands-on gameplay of Switch 2 games. It is not yet known which games will be shown, but it is likely that they will include a new Mario Kart or an improved version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

The launch lineup of games for the console is being kept under wraps, but Nintendo is rumored to be expecting to sell 20 million units in the first year. It is also possible that tomorrow they will announce the release date of the Switch 2, which, according to accessory manufacturer Nacon, is scheduled for April-September. The likely release dates are June or July.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will be released in 2025. According to insider Tom Henderson, the console will launch in June with pre-orders opening on April 9, not on the day of a special Nintendo Direct, as a recent leak suggested.
