Starting January 1, 2026, NVIDIA will introduce a hard limit of 100 hours of gameplay per month for all users of the GeForce NOW cloud service, regardless of plan or region.
GeForce Now subscription tiers currently cost $9.99 for the Performance plan and $19.99 for the Ultimate plan. Any additional 15 hours beyond the 100 hours included in the subscription will incur a charge of $2.99 and $5.99, respectively. Any 15 unused hours can be carried over to the next month, and the free tier remains limited to one-hour sessions. The exception is users who subscribed before March 17, 2021—they are exempt from the limitation until they cancel their subscription.
According to Nvidia, this limitation is intended to ensure pricing “remains consistent for the foreseeable future.” When Nvidia first announced this limitation in 2024, cloud gaming was still widely considered an additional service.
The company first announced the limit back in 2024, but promised to postpone it for existing subscribers.
Now the decision is final. According to Reddit users, playing more than three hours a day could lead to significant spending increases as early as the first months of 2026.
