NVIDIA’s ARM-based consumer PC platform, which has been in development for some time, will be available in September 2025. NVIDIA processors with proprietary GPUs are expected in the premium segment.
Nvidia’s plans for client platform releases include both in-house developed processors and those created in collaboration with MediaTek. However, the wording of the Taiwanese resource does not allow us to understand the scheme by which their deployment will begin – a dual interpretation is possible: the announcement of the Arm platform in September 2025 and its market launch in March 2026, or the release of a consumer processor in September 2025 and the appearance of its business-oriented counterpart in March 2026.
This isn’t NVIDIA’s first attempt at this. In 2011, Microsoft introduced the Windows on ARM (WOA) platform with Windows RT and processors from NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments. However, the first attempt was plagued by design failures in the Surface devices and the OS itself. Eventually, the company effectively halted development of Tegra processors.
