Sony has announced the release of the DualSense Astro Bot Limited Edition gamepad. It is timed to coincide with the release of a new exclusive game for PS5 — Astro Bot.
Astro Bot has become the PlayStation mascot. The new wireless controller is made in the signature white and blue colors with white sticks and an image of the bot’s eyes on the touchpad. The handles of the gamepad are painted blue.
Sony also revealed how the platformer Astro Bot will use the core features of the DualSense. Like Astro’s Playroom, players will be able to use vibrations to feel different surfaces. In Astro Bot, there are more of them.

The game’s developers have also doubled down on the use of adaptive triggers in combination with haptic feedback, tying them closely to Astro’s new abilities. For example, when using the jetpack, players will be able to feel the engine hitting their finger in sync with the animation, “creating a very dynamic and immersive experience.”
The DualSense Astro Bot Limited Edition gamepad will go on sale on September 6 for $80. The official release of the game will take place on the same day.
