Witchfire Developers Reveals A Full Release Date

Polish studio The Astronauts, founded by former developers of Painkiller and Bulletstorm, has presented an updated development plan for the fantasy RPG shooter Witchfire, which is currently in early access. This week, the development team published a lengthy blog post with a new Early Access roadmap for Witchfire. The Astronauts previously said they planned to fully release Witchfire about a year after its launch on the Epic Games Store, or “maybe a couple extra months.” However, it appears those plans have changed, with the new roadmap showing the shooter will exit Early Access in late 2025.  In the meantime, the development team has a lot of content planned for Witchfire over the next year or so. Canadian studio Bioware showed 10 minutes of gameplay of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The studio demonstrated gameplay for a high-level warrior who can both fight in close combat and use special skills. The 10-minute gameplay video for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, divided into four parts, showed preparation for battle, the character's primary and special abilities, and interactions with companions in combat. In 2020, a prototype of the never-released Nintendo PlayStation gaming console sold for $360,000. Now, a gamepad for the device has sold for $35,000 at Heritage Auctions. That's a staggering amount for an item that looks like a Super Nintendo controller but has Sony and PlayStation logos on the body. The device is designed using the familiar Super Nintendo controller body, but features the signature Sony PlayStation lettering in dark gray on the front and the same color Sony PlayStation Controller lettering on the back. Samsung has introduced a new gaming monitor, Odyssey 3D, whose unique feature is the ability to display three-dimensional images without the use of special glasses or accessories. Realistic 3D images from 2D content on the Samsung Odyssey 3D monitor are created using LFD (Light Field Display) technology with a lenticular lens on the front panel. When combined with Eye Tracking and View Mapping technologies, Odyssey creates a 3D image that does not require glasses to view: Eye Tracking uses a built-in stereo camera to track the movements of both eyes of the user, and View Mapping adjusts the output image to maintain the effect of depth.
