American electronics retailer Best Buy has published a post about the start of the Nintendo Direct presentation. In the same post, the chain's representatives indicated that pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will start on April 2. The date coincides with another Nintendo Direct presentation, which will be entirely dedicated to the Switch 2 console. It is there that the price, technical specifications, and release date should be announced. The first Nintendo Switch 2 consoles are expected to go on sale in June. In 2020, a prototype of the never-released Nintendo PlayStation gaming console sold for $360,000. Now, a gamepad for the device has sold for $35,000 at Heritage Auctions. That's a staggering amount for an item that looks like a Super Nintendo controller but has Sony and PlayStation logos on the body. The device is designed using the familiar Super Nintendo controller body, but features the signature Sony PlayStation lettering in dark gray on the front and the same color Sony PlayStation Controller lettering on the back.
