Sony hasn't yet decided on the launch window or price for the next-generation PlayStation. During Sony President and CEO Hiroki Totoki's latest financial report, he was asked about the PlayStation 6 and rising component prices. Totoki responded that Sony "hasn't yet decided" when the "new console" will launch or what it will cost.
According to Totoki, Sony is closely monitoring the situation in the component market, particularly RAM, whose prices continue to rise due to a global supply shortage. This factor is currently preventing the company from making a final decision on launching a new console.
