Microsoft is set to unveil a new Xbox controller, the Ghost Cipher Special Edition, according to a recent report from Dealabs. The controller is rumored to be unveiled on September 24 and will be available in the market starting October 8. Retailing for $69.99, the Ghost Cipher Special Edition will join Microsoft’s list of themed controllers for the Xbox Series X/S. New orders are expected to open at the same time as the product’s announcement.
The Cipher Series includes several translucent faceplate designs: Ghost Cipher (white), Velocity Cipher (green), Astral Cipher (purple), Surf Cipher (blue), Candy Cipher (pink), and Pulse Cipher (red).

In addition, the controller’s rear paddles and D-pads can now be customised in chromatic colours, with two options available: Energy Chroma and Sunset Chroma. The controller in one of the new skins starts at $149.99, but some options will cost extra.
Microsoft also released a new version of the standard Xbox Ghost Cipher wireless controller, which features a significantly more transparent faceplate than the Xbox Elite 2. It will go on sale October 8 for $69.99, and can be pre-ordered this week.
