IGN has published a video demonstrating the walkthrough of the first-person action role-playing game Valor Mortis, which is being developed by the Polish studio One More Level (Ghostrunner duology), available at the Gamescom 2025 exhibition.
The game takes place in an alternative 19th-century Europe, engulfed by a mysterious plague. According to the plot, the continent has changed beyond recognition, and former soldiers of Napoleon’s Grand Army have turned into the monsters of the Eternal Guard.
Players will take on the role of a resurrected soldier of Napoleon’s army named William, who received supernatural powers after dying on the battlefield. The main character will have to fight monsters and uncover a conspiracy that threatens humanity. In terms of gameplay, the game is a first-person “soulslike” with a combat system based on parries and dashes. Players will have access to various weapons and will be able to study supernatural abilities.
Valor Mortis is expected to be released in 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The developers plan to hold public testing at the end of September – you can apply for participation through the game’s page on Steam or the official website.
