22 Minutes of Dragon Age: The Veilguard Gameplay

A new gameplay trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard has appeared online. It’s 22 minutes long and comes with commentary from BioWare developers explaining some of the game’s mechanics.

The 22-minute gameplay trailer shows off the player’s Lighthouse base, the Crossroads dimension, combat gameplay for a mage, and the dialogue system. At the beginning of the video, the player — the smooth-faced Qunari mage Rook — takes on a quest for one of his companions. The man in question is a Grey Warden named Davrin, who needs help rescuing griffins kidnapped by a monster.

To reach the goal of the mission, the heroes (the protagonist, the bandit Harding, the sorceress Nev) fight their way through the creatures of darkness. Their appearance in the new game differs from the familiar one from the previous parts – there is a plot explanation for this. On the way to the quest, the player picks up two secondary tasks (their completion, like Davrin’s mission, was not shown) – BioWare wanted to make the side content of The Veilguard as significant and connected to the main plot as possible.

The release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard will take place on October 31 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Earlier, the developers said that the game will have an option to turn off nudity, and each of the main character’s companions will have their own room in the fortress.
