Creative Assembly Officially Confirms “Alien: Isolation 2”

Creative Assembly has officially confirmed that a sequel to the cult classic Alien: Isolation is in early development. The long-awaited announcement comes as a pleasant surprise to fans of the original game, which remains a beloved survival horror title.

Alien: Isolation creative director Alistair Hope has confirmed in a message to fans to mark the game’s 10th anniversary that Creative Assembly is working on a sequel. “As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, I think it’s more appropriate than ever to let you know that we’ve heard your calls loud and clear,” Hope said of how fans have been asking Sega for years to release Alien: Isolation 2.

Alien: Isolation takes place on the Sevastopol space station, where Amanda Ripley (Ellen’s daughter from the films) faces ruthless androids and a deadly xenomorph. According to Hope, the team’s main goal when developing the game was to create a truly authentic experience that conveys the atmosphere and horror of the original Alien film, released in 1979.

While development on Alien: Isolation 2 is still in the early stages, A.I. Hope and the team have promised to share more information as progress is made. In the meantime, fans can celebrate the confirmation of a sequel.
