Generally, bugs in games are fixed as quickly as possible, but sometimes the mistakes made elude developers for years. That’s what’s been happening with Valve and its team shooter Team Fortress 2 for the past 17 years.
The developers changed the color of the Scout’s pants when he plays for the blue team. Due to a graphical bug that happened 17 years ago, his pants were beige, as if he still plays for the red team. In a recent patch, his pants became dark blue, as they should be.
However, after 17 hours, Valve rolled back the fix. The studio explained this by technical problems, saying that the blue pants conflict with the character skins.
Team Fortress 2 was released in October 2007 and became free-to-play in June 2011. In April 2024, the game received 64-bit support, an update that brought technical improvements and an unusual bug.
