Today, October 31, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella published the company’s financial report, where he said that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 set several new records at once.
As it turned out, the shooter from Treyarch and Raven became the largest release in the franchise both in the first day and in the first three-day weekend. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 also set a Game Pass record for the number of new subscribers on the day of release.
Despite being available on Game Pass, Black Ops 6’s first-day sales on Steam and PlayStation have outsold Modern Warfare (2023) by 60%. However, as PC Gamer points out, that says more about last year’s game than the new one.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was released on October 25 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass (Ultimate and PC Game Pass). The iconic Nuketown map will be added to the game on November 1.
