DayZ Creator Announces “Kitten Space Agency”

Dean Hall, known as the creator of DayZ, together with his studio RocketWerkz took on an ambitious project – a simulator of space agency management Kitten Space Agency. This game in many ways resembles the legendary Kerbal Space Program, only instead of green men there will be cats.

According to Hall, Kitten Space Agency (KSA) was born out of a rejected pitch for KSP 2 by publisher Private Division (owned by Take-Two) — RocketWerkz was in the running to develop the sequel, and was even in the top three candidates. “I had put a lot of effort into a good design document and decided to focus on the design/technical aspects of the project — which turned out to be a major issue for the two people on the call who said we were the only ones without art. Apparently, we weren’t chosen,” Hall recalls.

Several of the original KSP and KSP 2 developers, as well as a number of modders, were involved in the creation of Kitten Space Agency. In addition, Hall himself was an active modder for the original KSP in the past.

There are no exact release dates yet, but it is already known that the first version of the game is planned to be released for free.
