CD Projekt RED has unveiled a major update 2.2 for Cyberpunk 2077. Last year, the developers announced that they were stopping releasing updates for the game, but this week they unexpectedly announced and have now released a new major update.
Update 2.2 will allow Cyberpunk 2077 players to express themselves “like never before,” CD Projekt Red says, with additional customization options, a redesigned photo mode, and more.
Main changes in patch 2.2:
- the ability to change the color of the vehicle (the “Crystal Coating” function) has been extended from “Rayfield” cars to other brands – “Herrera”, “Mizutani”, “Quadra” and “Villefort”;
- the new “Contratone” system will allow you to scan a car using “Kiroshi” implants and save the color scheme for repainting your own car;
- ten of the most desirable cars from the streets of Night City have been added to the assortment of the “Autofixer” store;
- after completing the first act of the game, Johnny will sometimes appear in the passenger seat, react to what is happening and comment on the view from the window (if the car is driven by V);
- the redesigned photo mode includes free movement of the drone camera, increased maximum shooting range, the “Presence of obstacles”, “Camera lock” and “Ratio” parameters (only on PC), the “Characters” and “Lighting” tabs, the effect strength scale;
- with Smart Frames, you can decorate your apartment walls with photos taken in Photo Mode;
- over 100 new elements of V’s personalization in the character editor, including eye colors, lip, cheekbone and eye makeup, nail polishes, scars, eyebrows, tattoos and decorative facial implants;
- a random appearance generation function with a scale that determines how unremarkable or extravagant V’s appearance will be;
- new secrets that the developers did not reveal.
The update was released on December 10 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. The full list of changes is available on the Cyberpunk 2077 website
