The authors of the global conversion modification Skyblivion continue their path to release in the coming 2025. In honor of the holidays, the modders published a new video and shared development statistics for the past year.
Skyblivion’s map is now 93% complete. Seven of Cyrodiil’s nine unique regions are already complete, with the Nibenay Basin (45%) and Nibenay Valley (80%) still in the works. The team has also expanded the map in places (to match the cities) and changed the terrain (to achieve a more natural effect) to improve the experience of exploring the game world.
In addition, 94% of 3D assets are finished (2354 out of 2508) and 193 out of 199 quests — individual quests from the Thieves Guild and Mages Guild chains, as well as story and side missions, have not yet passed the first check. What else is ready:
- NavMesh, allowing NPCs to navigate the terrain – 44% (Cyrodiil), 19% (interiors), 12% (world spaces);
- 11 out of 20 unique world spaces;
- 3 out of 11 Oblivion realms;
- all original music in addition to 24 new tracks (including one for each region, three for dungeons, and two for bosses).
