Valorant Gets Long-Awaited Replay System, Moves to Unreal Engine 5

Riot Games is set to add a feature to Valorant that players have been asking for for years. The long-awaited replay system will appear in the tactical shooter with patch 11.06 — the relevant information was revealed in a new video from the developers.

The system will work similarly to replays in other competitive shooters, such as Counter-Strike 2. Players will be able to rewatch their previous matches from the perspective of any participant or use a free camera for detailed analysis.

The replay feature will first appear on PC with patch 11.06 in September of this year, with console versions receiving the feature before the end of 2025.

What’s more, the Valorant team announced that they are switching to Unreal Engine 5 with patch 11.02, which will be released at the end of July. According to the developers, this update will provide:

  • Higher frame rates
  • Faster loading times for future updates
  • Preserving the familiar gameplay without changing its feel

Valorant was released on PC in 2020, and in 2024 it became available on PS5, Xbox Series X and S. In April of this year, Riot Games officially confirmed the existence of a mobile version of the shooter, but its release will initially take place only in China.
