
NVIDIA today released a new GeForce Game Ready Driver 576.88 WHQL to support the new RTX 5050 graphics cards. This driver is also optimized to run Mecha BREAK, a mech-themed multiplayer third-person shooter that launches today on PC and Xbox Series S|X. The game features 3v3, 6v6, and even PvPvE modes like Mashmak.
List of fixed issues:
- Fixed an issue where enabling Nvidia Smooth Motion would cause GPU memory to slow down;
- Fixed an issue where the system would freeze when enabling Nvidia App Overlay in Cyberpunk 2077 with DLSS Frame Generation enabled on laptops;
- Fixed an issue with a black screen when installing drivers on systems with AMD Ryzen processors;
- Fixed an issue with a black screen when changing the refresh rate between 480 and 360 Hz on the Sony SDM-27Q10S monitor.
List of known issues:
- Cyberpunk 2077 crashes when using photo mode with path tracing enabled;
- Image artifacts around light sources in Battlefield 2042;
- Image artifacts in World of Warcraft when using ray tracing;
- Text in Counter-Strike 2 may be slightly blurry when using an in-game resolution lower than the native resolution of the monitor.
The new 576.88 WHQL drivers are designed for computers and laptops running 64-bit versions of Windows 10 (including the 2022 Update, version 22H2), as well as the new Windows 11 operating system (including the 2024 Update, version 24H2).
