Strange changes have been noticed on the official StarCraft website, which may hint at the imminent announcement of a new game in the universe. Although the page’s primary content remains dedicated to StarCraft Remastered, certain elements have begun randomly flickering and disappearing, including images, text blocks, and other interface elements.
Blizzard hasn’t yet confirmed that this is related to the new project. However, the suspicious glitch appears amid several reports about the franchise’s possible return.
It was previously reported that Blizzard is developing a shooter set in the StarCraft universe under the direction of former Far Cry executive producer Dan Hay. Rumor has it that the shooter will feature a third-person perspective and will be unveiled at BlizzCon 2026.
Furthermore, South Korean publisher and developer Nexon (The Finals, Arc Raiders) is also reportedly working on a StarCraft shooter and is preparing to sign a development agreement with Blizzard for “a sequel to the existing StarCraft,” meaning StarCraft 3.
It’s impossible to say yet what exactly Blizzard might be cooking up. It’s unclear whether the teaser is related to the company’s own game, Nexon’s project, or both. It’s also unclear whether it’s referring to StarCraft 3 or an entirely different spinoff of the series.
