Jeff Keeley, producer and host of the opening ceremony of Gamescom, personally edited and presented the trailer for the Opening Night Live event, reports 24 Channel. The video, less than a minute long, contains a mix of footage from games that will definitely appear at the show, as well as projects planned for 2025.
Among the planned premieres are Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Resident Evil Requiem, Ghost of Yotei, Silent Hill f, Ninja Gaiden 4 and the World of Warcraft: Midnight add-on. The show also promises to show a teaser for the second season of the Fallout series.
The trailer also teased Cronos: The New Dawn (September 5), Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (September 25), and the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle expansion The Order of Giants (September 4), all three of which already have release dates.
Commenters are excited about the upcoming show and hope to see hotly anticipated games like the action platformer Hollow Knight: Silksong, which didn’t make it into the trailer.
The main part of Gamescom: Opening Night Live will start on August 19. You can watch the live broadcast on the YouTube channel thegameawards.
