There’s a week and a half left until the long-awaited release of Hollow Knight: Silksong, and more and more indie studios are trying to push back the launch of their games as far as possible. And now the authors of the JRPG Demonschool from Necrosoft Games have announced a postponement.
Let’s remember that Demonschool was expected to be released on September 3 after several delays, while Hollow Knight: Silksong, the most desired game on Steam at the moment, will go on sale only a day later.
In an official statement, Ysbryd Games explained that the decision is related to the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong, scheduled for September 4. Representatives of the publisher believe that the release of Demonschool during this period could negatively affect attention to it:
We must remember that the main goal for us is attention to Demonschool. If September becomes the time for Silksong, we need to take another place in the calendar so that the game has a chance to be noticed.
As it became known, Demonschool will be released on PC (Steam, itch.io, EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, as well as Nintendo Switch only on November 19.
