The Elder Scrolls-obsessed American team Spellcast Studios has announced the release of an updated demo of their dream fantasy RPG, Ardenfall, on Steam.
The developers of Ardenfall were inspired by The Elder Scrolls series, particularly Morrowind, and have previously said that they decided to make their own indie RPG because they were tired of waiting for the next installment of The Elder Scrolls.
In the fall, Spellcast Studios held an open beta for Ardenfall, and on December 5th, a demo of the game was released on Steam, available for everyone to play.
The demo added new content compared to the test, including locations, quests, and dungeons, and quests now offer achievements.
According to the developers, completing the demo, taking into account various choices, will take one and a half to two hours. The demo features five endings for the main questline.
Ardenfall Early Access launches in 2026 on PC (Steam). It promises a kaleidoscope of landscapes, no tutorials, a character creator, and a deep progression system.
