Developers from Galaxy Grove studio, supported by Kwalee publishing house, have set a firm release date for their city-building simulator, Town to City. The project will leave Early Access on May 26th, and a special trailer was released to mark the occasion.
The main feature of Town to City is gridless construction. Players can freely place houses, shops, roads, parks, and decorative elements without being constrained by strict restrictions. The developers offer options ranging from carefully laid out neighborhoods to creating chaotic streets with winding alleys and squares.
A significant focus on customization has been placed. Players can manually place lanterns, flower beds, trees, and other decorations, as well as repaint buildings. A built-in photo mode allows you to transform settlements into fully functional postcards.
As the city develops, so do the needs of its residents. Players must provide jobs, infrastructure, and entertainment. Citizens can start families, move into new homes, and gradually change the appearance of the settlement. The economy also plays a significant role. Players can unlock new buildings, develop trade, and connect multiple cities.
During its Early Access period, Town to City received over 5,300 “extremely positive” reviews, with a 97% rating on Valve’s digital store. Users rave about the relaxing gameplay, pleasant music, and “cute voxel graphics.”
