According to Bloomberg, Hasbro has canceled a Dungeons & Dragons game from Star Wars Jedi duology game director Stig Asmussen.
At its announcement last summer, Wizards of the Coast called the now-cancelled action game Giant Skull “a massive, exciting project” that marked “a defining moment in the gaming ambitions of both companies.”
“We evaluate projects at every stage of development. While Giant Skull’s early concept was not developed further, we have the utmost respect for Stig Asmussen’s team and value our relationship,”Wizards of the Coast stated.
A Wizards of the Coast representative also confirmed to Bloomberg that the company continues to maintain contact with Giant Skull and is still accepting proposals for potential new projects from the studio.
Interestingly, another “event” related to the cult tabletop game’s universe occurred in June 2025. Gameplay and concept art for another cancelled D&D title were leaked online.

Asmussen assured that he holds no ill will toward Wizards of the Coast and is already in talks about a possible publishing deal with other companies. “Giant Skull is doing well,” the developer said cheerfully.
