Warhorse Studios unexpectedly confirmed the development of a new game set in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance universe. According to Embracer Group’s financial plans, the project is expected to be released between April 2027 and March 2028. However, the main question now isn’t the timeframe, but the scale of the game itself.
As part of Embracer Group’s new transformation, the Kingdom Come franchise and Warhorse studio will become the property of Fellowship Entertainment (formerly Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends), which will exit the holding company in 2027.
Warhorse has no shortage of ambitions—the studio aims to become the “new kings of RPGs.” Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 concluded the story of Henry of Skalitz, so the new Kingdom Come may focus on different characters.
Following the success of the second game, players’ expectations are high. The series has already established itself as a rare example of a major RPG without magic or dragons, emphasizing realism, historical atmosphere, and challenging combat. Now, Warhorse’s top priority is maintaining this balance in an attempt to release the new game more quickly.
