The long-awaited Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced achieved impressive sales immediately upon its release. According to Ubisoft, the remake sold a total of 2 million copies in its first 24 hours.

“Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has already reached 2 million copies sold! Whether you’re sailing the seas with us again or stepping aboard the Jackdaw for the first time, thank you from all of us in the SEARR community,” Ubisoft shared.

By comparison, last year’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows reached 2 million viewers within two days of its release, but back then, we were talking about players, not sales. Shadows’ launch was the second-highest for the franchise.

As a reminder, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a full-fledged remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, released in 2013. The original game sold over 15 million copies by 2025.

The remake was built from the ground up using the latest version of the Anvil engine and features ray tracing, updated water simulation, dynamic combat, blood, improved stealth and parkour, new story scenes, and Russian translation.

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series
