As CD Projekt Red announced on its social media channels, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered will become available on September 29 at 12:00 Polish time. The announcement was accompanied by an image showing the global release times.
In a post on their official X account, the creators shared an atmospheric reminder of the story’s central plotline. The developers noted that the Continent is holding its breath in anticipation of another invasion by the fearsome Wild Hunt. In just a few days, players will once again set out to find Ciri and rescue her before Eredin’s spectral riders reach her.
The upcoming re-release promises to significantly revitalize the gameplay and visuals of this legendary RPG. According to the developers, the updated version of *The Witcher 3* will feature a host of major technical enhancements. Graphics will see a substantial leap in quality thanks to overhauled lighting, high-resolution textures, and support for ray tracing, alongside modern upscaling technologies like DLSS, FSR, and XeSS.
Gameplay changes are also in store: the developers have rebalanced the combat system, updated the skill tree, and improved both monster AI and Roach’s handling mechanics. Additionally, the remaster will introduce an armor appearance customization system (transmogrification), immersive meditation, and official support for user-created mods across all platforms.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is being developed in collaboration with the studio Yigsoft and will be released on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS, Battle.net), PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 as a free update for owners of the base game.
