Capcom aired a special Resident Evil program on Japanese television. During the program, the company showed a short gameplay trailer for Resident Evil: Requiem.
In the 33-second clip, Requiem’s heroine, Grace Ashcroft, encounters a pair of zombies in the dimly lit hallways of a mansion. The protagonist attempts to eliminate the enemies with pistol shots, but misses several times.
As AestheticGamer noted, since this was Japanese television, the version of Resident Evil Requiem shown there was likely censored. This can be seen by the lack of blood splatter in the clip.
Despite the brief nature of the clip, viewers appreciated the setting, reminiscent of the Spencer family mansion from the original Resident Evil, and the gameplay, inspired by the Resident Evil 2 remake.
Capcom will release Resident Evil Requiem on February 27, 2026. The game will support path tracing on PC and utilize Denuvo anti-tampering technology. Furthermore, the official PC system requirements have already been revealed.
