Ubisoft has suffered further losses. Clint Hocking, creative director of Assassin’s Creed Hexe, has left the company. Development of the game will be taken over by one of the series’ new directors, Jean Guesdon. He recently took over as creative director of Vantage Studios, which is now responsible for Assassin’s Creed.
In total, Hawking worked at Ubisoft for nearly 20 years (from 2001 to 2010 and from 2015 to 2026). He was at the helm of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Far Cry 2, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Codename: Hexe.
At the request of Video Games Chronicle, Ubisoft confirmed the departure of Hocking: “We are truly grateful to [Clint] for his vision, creative input, and dedication over many years. We wish him all the best in the next chapter.”

Little is known about the new Assassin’s Creed game yet. The company plans to release the action game after it ceases support for Shadows.
