EA recently showed a story trailer for Battlefield 6, and now insiders have revealed the dates of beta tests. The game will receive two stages of testing in August – closed and open.

According to Henderson’s anonymous sources, the upcoming Battlefield 6 beta is scheduled for August and will be held in three stages, starting with a closed one. The closed beta will run from August 7 to 8 and will only be available to those who pre-ordered Battlefield 6 and those who receive a code through the Twitch Drops system – hundreds of streamers will be broadcasting the game during a multiplayer presentation.

Some of Henderson’s sources also say that the aforementioned Battlefield 6 beta will open to all other players on August 9-10. The third phase is an open “beta” from August 14-17.

Pre-orders for Battlefield 6 are expected to open during the multiplayer presentation. According to Henderson, the standard edition will cost $70, something Electronic Arts also hinted at.

The franchise’s sequel is expected to feature air defense detonations, water demining, tunnel assaults, and air support calls. Various sites have also hinted at mechanics such as rescuing the wounded, jumping on tanks, dynamic movement with rolls and diving into battle, and the destruction of buildings, all of which impact gameplay.

The story campaign is being developed by Motive (Dead Space Remake), and Criterion is responsible for the multiplayer. Its official presentation will take place on the evening of July 31. Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10, 2025, on PC, Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5, priced at $69.99.
