Todd Howard warned that the upcoming major Starfield update won’t change the minds of those who initially disliked the game. It’s intended for fans who already love it
On his microblog, billbil-kun suggested that the upcoming Starfield presentation will include other announcements. Specifically, a major content update and a second story expansion are also in development for the game.
Bethesda hinted: “We’ll tell you more next week.” The timing is no coincidence—Starfield launches on PlayStation 5 in April. A release on the new platform could give the game a new lease of life if a powerful expansion is revealed at the same time.
Starfield debuted in September 2023 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X, S, and Game Pass. The game’s first and, so far, last DLC, Shattered Space (released in fall 2024), disappointed fans and critics alike.
