In line with yesterday’s announcement, on July 17, developers from the Polish studio CD Projekt Red announced the release of a major update 2.3 for their first-person cyberpunk action RPG Cyberpunk 2077.
Update 2.3 adds four new cars, including the sports Yaiba Semimaru from the Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown comic, as well as three cars and the first customizable motorcycle, which can be unlocked by completing several small quests. The developers also added an autopilot feature, Delamain’s taxi service, allowing you to explore Night City as a passenger, and expanded the capabilities of the photo mode.
On the technical side, Update 2.3 adds support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3.1 (FSR 3.1) Frame Generation and Intel XeSS 2.0 for PC, with FSR 4 support expected in a future AMD driver update. For consoles, support for variable refresh rate (VRR) and improved HDR settings have been added, improving image quality.
Patch 2.3 is the first major update for Cyberpunk 2077 in seven months — the previous one, 2.2, came out in December and was also developed in collaboration with Virtuos. The game has not had a dedicated support team since mid-2024.
