Kojima Productions and Line Mileage have announced that “Raised by Wolves” screenwriter Aaron Guzikowski will write an animated film based on Death Stranding.
According to Guzikovsky, he likes the world of Death Stranding: “There is so much creative freedom in it, it is amazingly dark, but at the same time full of hope.” The anime will tell an independent story in the world of the game. “I am glad and proud that Hideo Kojima, whose work I have long admired, invited me to live in his creation to germinate new stories in this fertile, mind-blowing universe,” admitted Guzikovsky.
The Death Stranding anime has no release date, but the aforementioned film adaptation is expected in 2027. The film is being created by A24, with Pig and A Quiet Place: Day One director Michael Sarnoski serving as director and screenwriter.
