Ukrainian studio GSC Game World showed the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The half-hour broadcast was held on the official Xbox Twitch channel. During the stream (it was in Ukrainian with English subtitles), the developers explained how the game world is structured, demonstrated battles with mutants, and showed how the plot scenes were created.
The events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will unfold in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The seamless open world of the game includes 20 regions with unique inhabitants, architecture and challenges. The developers did not want to make S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 simple and comfortable, so the hero gets tired, hungry and so on, which affects his effectiveness. There will be no leveling up – progress is achieved through a deeper understanding of the world.
The show showed a walkthrough of the quest (about 25 minutes of gameplay). The hero, in order to get to the Clear Sky base, must turn off three psi-installations in the swamps, where he encounters pseudo-dogs, zombies, flesh, the Controller and anomalies.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been announced for PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles. It is not yet known whether the game is in development for other platforms. According to the leak, Microsoft and GSC Game World have made a deal according to which S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be an Xbox console exclusive for only three months.
