Hideo Kojima revealed the debut trailer for his mysterious project, OD, during the Kojima Productions: Beyond the Strand stream. The game is being developed for Xbox Game Studios and promises to be one of the most terrifying projects in the career of the creator of Metal Gear and Death Stranding.

OD was officially confirmed in the summer of 2022, and received its first teaser trailer in December 2023 at The Game Awards 2023, but hasn’t been publicly released since.

Unveiled at Beyond The Strand, the first new teaser trailer for OD in almost two years is titled “Knock,” runs nearly three and a half minutes, and is powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Judging by the hints in the trailer, the events of OD will take place 10 years after a horrific event connected to some kind of curse. The main role in the trailer goes to Sophia Lillis.

The protagonist lights candles one by one (the process is shown from a first-person perspective) on a table until a mysterious and menacing figure enters the room and grabs the protagonist by the head.

The rest of the project’s details are being kept under wraps for now, with the exception of an important warning about the game’s horror level. “It’s really scary, and you’ll probably shit your pants,” Kojima warned.
