Following an unfortunate leak in April, publisher 2K and developer Hangar 13 have confirmed the release date of their crime action game Mafia: The Old Country. The announcement was accompanied by a new gameplay trailer.
Mafia: The Old Country is a prequel to the original trilogy, set in early 20th century Sicily. The main character is an orphan named Enzo Favara, who gets a chance to join the mafia family of Don Torrisi. In the new video, the authors showed Torrisi himself mentoring the protagonist. And also murders: with a knife and a pistol. Not forgetting about horseback shootings and dynamic car races!
Following the announcement, pre-orders have started. The price of Mafia: The Old Country will be $50, which is unusual for modern blockbusters. An expanded edition with a number of bonus items is sold for $60.
