Embark, the studio behind The Finals, has released a new PvPvE evacuation shooter, ARC Raiders. The game has launched on PC and consoles and has demonstrated impressive performance on Steam within the first few hours of its release, attracting thousands of players and positive reviews.
ARC Raiders takes place on a future Earth under attack by mysterious mechanical invaders. Humans have been forced to take refuge in underground shelters, so retrieving vital components from the surface has become the primary objective for the fearless raiders. Players will be able to become one of these adventurers and participate in solo forays and team runs to secure valuable loot.
At launch, ARC Raiders features four distinct maps, a skill tree with three branches (survival, mobility, and endurance), and a large arsenal. The developers plan to regularly update the game, adding new locations, items, and enemies.
Just a few hours after its release, Embark Studios’ new shooter garnered over 2,000 reviews on Steam (with an 86% rating). According to SteamDB, the game currently has 175,875 players.
