The Consumer Electronics Show 2026 (CES) conference has begun in Las Vegas, where high-tech companies show off their latest developments and offer a glimpse into the future. NVIDIA has released a short but impressive 4K ray-traced trailer for the new Resident Evil game, Resident Evil Requiem.
Revealed at CES 2026, the new Resident Evil Requiem gameplay trailer runs 51 seconds and showcases the visual benefits of path tracing and the performance boosts of DLSS 4 at 4K resolution.
As Nvidia noted, in games like Resident Evil Requiem, rendering light and shadow effects is crucial, and path tracing will take this element of the upcoming horror game to a new level.
“With path tracing, Resident Evil Requiem renders multiple shadows from different light sources and complex effects like reflections, glass refractions, and more natural lighting, enhancing immersion,” Nvidia asserts.
In addition to Nvidia technology at launch, the game promises two main characters, more engaging gameplay than ever before, a mix of exciting action and survival horror, and creative bosses.
According to Capcom, the concept for this game was “gripping fear.” Since horror is one of the most important aspects of the series, the developers wanted to make this fear factor a key feature of the gameplay.
