Currently, the list of officially supported desktop platforms includes Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS. The service can also be launched via a browser, but only the aforementioned operating systems are officially supported. Running the service on Linux typically involves various workarounds, such as unofficial versions of the Nvidia app or special browser settings. Native Linux support would make the service more user-friendly, especially for the average user.
Nvidia is preparing to add support for Linux computers to its GeForce Now game streaming service, expanding the list of officially supported platforms. Nvidia hasn’t yet revealed all the details, but this move will provide Linux PC users with an official way to interact with the streaming service without the need for workarounds.
Along with the news of upcoming Linux support for GeForce Now, the company also announced new games that will soon be available to platform users.
