Blur Studio and Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming animated video game series Secret Level will feature a Warhammer 40,000-themed episode, and Games Workshop shared details of the series at New York Comic Con.
Secret Level is an animated anthology series consisting of 15 standalone episodes, each based on a game. It’s from the people behind the Netflix animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots, and will be released on Prime Video on December 10.
In a post on the Warhammer Community site, Games Workshop noted that executive producer and director Dave Wilson was responsible for one of the first Warhammer animations, the iconic opening sequence for the strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. Now 20 years old, the opening sequence is a huge favorite among Warhammer 40,000 fans and is often considered one of the best Warhammer 40,000 animations ever made.
Secret Level launches on December 10 on Prime Video, with the Space Marine 2 sequel episode set to be included in the first batch. In addition to Warhammer 40,000, the show includes episodes on Armored Core, Dungeons & Dragons, Exodus, God of War, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Sifu, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament, and the now-defunct Concord.
