Polish solo developer Sławomir Bryk, working under the banner of Clockwork Pile and with the support of Retrovibe, announced a sequel to his tactical strategy game Shardpunk, which has earned a 93% rating on Steam.
Shardpunk 2 (the sequel’s title) takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where the remnants of humanity wage a relentless battle against the rat hordes. The empire has fallen, but the war rages on.
The destruction of the largest rat swarm at the cost of humanity’s greatest metropolis slowed the horde, but didn’t stop it. Players, as the commander of a human outpost, must assemble a team, gather resources, and combat the new threat.
They promise smarter and more dangerous enemies, complete control over your squad (down to the soldiers’ names and appearances), over a hundred new skills, and colorful pixel art.
Shardpunk 2 is expected to be released in 2026 on PC (Steam). The game is being developed with financial support from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
