The steampunk RPG Clockwork Revolution from American inXile Entertainment (Wasteland series) hasn’t received a release date in two and a half years, but it looks like the wait isn’t too long.
Networks have noticed the LinkedIn profile of former studio writer Nathan Long, where the section dedicated to Clockwork Revolution lists 2026 as the tentative release date.
Clockwork Revolution is an ambitious role-playing game with elements of steampunk and time travel. Players will explore the past of the city of Avalon, with every action directly impacting the city’s future and the fate of its inhabitants, creating a deep, non-linear narrative.
The project was last showcased at the Xbox Games Showcase in the summer of 2025, when a striking story trailer was shown featuring diverse characters, combat scenes, and exploration elements. Despite the long wait, interest in the game remains high, and fans of inXile are hoping for more details soon.
Clockwork Revolution is being developed for PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X, and S. At launch, the RPG will be part of the Game Pass subscription and Xbox Play Anywhere program—one copy is enough to play across platforms in the Xbox ecosystem.
