The creators of Silent Hill 2 Remake have released a major update, which is now available for download. It fixes the most important errors, improves gameplay and performance.
Technical improvements in the PC version of Silent Hill 2 Remake include:
- DSOGaming reports that the patch adds an option to enable DLSS 3 frame generation technologies from Nvidia and Fluid Motion Frames from AMD;
- reduction of visual bugs when using the latest version of DLSS;
- update of AMD FSR to version 3.1.1;
- Nvidia Reflex now works when DLSS frame generation is active;
- the ability to enable DLSS/AMD frame generation when using DLSS/FSR for supersampling;
- performance improvements and optimizations for the game on Steam Deck;
- elimination of stuttering associated with sky map generation;
- all graphics settings are now saved locally.
The Silent Hill 2 remake was released on October 8 on PC (Steam) and PS5. The game received high marks from critics and users. The project’s sales in the first three days after release exceeded 1 million copies.
