The developers of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster have encountered problems that have forced the console release to be delayed.
Recall that System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is a remaster of the cult role-playing shooter System Shock 2 from Irrational Games, released in 1999. The release was expected on June 26 on PC and consoles.
As it became known, the PC version of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will be released on Steam, EGS and GOG on schedule, and the remaster will reach PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, S and Nintendo Switch with a delay.

The developers had problems with certification of the re-release on “certain” platforms and some troubles related to multiplayer. Now the console release of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is planned for the first two weeks of July.
The developers previously promised that the remaster would feature controller support, increased frame rate, compatibility with ultra-wide screens, and simplified mod installation. Cross-platform co-op was also announced.
